The crew from Outdoor Business Network attended the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah. From August 6th through the 12th outdoor retailers, suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers converged at the Salt Palace Convention Center for a solid weekend of business and fun. Many new and innovative products were launched.
Outdoor Business Network took up shop in the new vendor area at booth number ESA234 in the adjoining Energy Solutions Arena (formerly the Delta Center). The show was very successful for the OBN team, as this was their first Outdoor Retailer Show. Rob, director of marketing at OBN stated, “The show was an excellent networking event. We felt we had a great professional presence and that was affirmed by the tremendous response of retailers and manufacturers visiting our booth. We are looking forward to returning next year.”
Next year may be a bit different for the Outdoor Retailer show. With well over 1000 exhibitors, the show itself has grown so large that it may be on the verge of growing out of its home in Salt Lake. Rumor has it the show may move to a new location next year, with Denver at the top of the list. That would make for an exciting change.
We will have to wait until next year to see what changes await the OR show. A new venue would be a great launching point for the brands of the future and new products from the brands we all know and love such as North Face and Patagonia.

The crew over at Jazz Motorsports has been working very hard lately to revamp the business. Part of this makeover has been the redesign and relaunch of www.jazzmotorsports.com. Many changes have been made to increase the product selection, build consumer confidence, streamline navigation, and make the website more user friendly.
Based out of Maumee, Ohio, Jazz Motorsports has picked up added distributors and manufacturers to allow them access to the highest quality selection of motorcycle parts and personal watercraft parts. Now with the added business relationships, Jazz has 8 warehouses based strategically around the United States. This allows fast order turnaround time and high order fullfillment rates. This increase in product selection is a key to Jazz Motorsports future success.
The next step in rebuilding the business is increasing consumer awareness and building trust. Jazz Motorsports has implemented both Pay-Per-Click advertising and Search Engine Optimization to rebuild the websites traffic. Soon Jazz will be releasing its new e-Newsletter which will allow constant communication with its customers. Building consumer trust is another key that Jazz needed to establish. With their new 110% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee, customers are assured they will not be set aside. Another key in building trust was the design and implementation of the new website. Brian, owner of Jazz Motorsports states, “A key to the revitalization of the website has been Curt Jazwiecki from Outdoor Business Network. Curt and the OBN/AWMG team have done an extrememly good job consulting with me and letting me know what we truly need. They have also implemented the web page design, PPC campagin, and Search Engine Optimization plan.”
Please stop by the website and take a look at the new large selction of sportbike parts and jet-ski parts.

I have been in the market for some new desktop computers, a network printer, and network storage. I have considered building my own systems, buying them from a local store, ordering them from an online supplier, or a combination of the three. After some contemplation and review of the various deals both on the web and off, I decided to order my hardware from Dell.
I ordered online. The process was easy and allowed me to easily customize the products I was buying. There was a glitch however. The order I placed online was actually lost by Dell. After a few days of patiently waiting and no response I decided to contact Dell. I was initially very unhappy with my customer experience. After getting bounced around their customer service for a bit, I finally landed in a good place.
I landed on the phone with Dell Business Systems representative Joshua Dawson. The doubt I previously had about my order with Dell was gone at this point. Josh and his team specialize in storage, server, systems, and printing solutions for businesses of all sizes. His service and response time was excellent. He spent the time necessary to make sure the setup I requested was the right one. He was also able to expedite my order and shipping to make up for the original problems with the order. He even found a few extra discounts for me that were not available online.
Overall I was greatly impressed with the service, and I would recommend anyone needing any type of business technology hardware solution large or small to contact Josh directly. His contact information is as follows:

Verizon Wireless unveiled its holiday lineup. Included in the new batch of phones is Verizon’s flagship feature phone the LG VX10000 Voyager, dubbed the iPhone killer by some. It certainly makes some advances in the feature phone market with its touch screen user interface, but do the advances really compare to the iPhone?
Following close behind it is the LG VX8800 Venus, which incorporates a dual-screen fascia into a slider form factor. It has style and features to spare.
Last on the list is the BlackBerry Pearl 2, a high-speed version of RIM’s style-conscious smartphone.
